Our Story

Laura started working in health care at 15 as a volunteer in the hospital. She then got her CNA license, then her RN. Laura spent 4 years in the United States Navy. Since leaving the military, Laura worked primarily as a cardiac and intensive care nurse before going back to school for her Family Nurse practitioner. Corey and Laura have been married since 2010, and have two kids- Caden and Amiah. Corey’s background is in business along with pastoring since 2013. Together they lead One Heart Primary Care with a shared passion to serve people through their physical and spiritual health.

One Heart Primary Care was born out of a desire to serve the medical needs of others. The one heartbeat mantra began with Principal Tim Hines in the small Pre K-12 Coalfield school, which is a quarter mile from the where the clinic is located, as a means to encouraging students to work together as one heartbeat.

At One Heart Primary Care we desire to aid both Coalfield and the greater East TN community with physical health. The focus of care at One Heart includes the family. Laura loves working with all people from newborn to elderly. At One Heart, we have the desire to see people live their fullest and healthiest life.
